Shoulder Blade Malalignment in Young Baseball Players in Fanwood

Investigators examined the dominant (throwing arm) shoulders of 169 elementary school-aged baseball players and found that 75% had scapular misalignment and 24% experienced shoulder pain in the previous year.

The findings suggest that scapular misalignment is common in this group of young athletes, and clinicians should pay attention to the scapula in baseball players with shoulder pain.
