Manual Therapy in Fanwood Is As Good As Surgery For Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) in Fanwood is a common ailment affecting those who perform repetitive motions with their hands and wrists.

Symptoms can include pain, numbness, and weakness of the hand and wrist. In this study, 100 female CTS patients either received multiple sessions of manual therapy on their affected wrist or underwent carpal tunnel release surgery.

After one year, the investigators found that both manual therapy and surgery provided similar benefits in regards to reducing widespread pain sensitivity and intensity.

Further long-term studies are recommended, but the results suggest that conservative care for CTS is just as effective as surgery.
