Low Vitamin D Linked To Greater Pain In Low Back Pain Patients

Low Vitamin D Linked To Greater Pain In Low Back Pain Patients

In this study, researchers compared the vitamin D levels of 63 patients with back pain and 55 individuals without back pain and found that those with back pain were more likely to have inadequate vitamin D serum levels. Additionally, the research team identified an association between lower vitamin D levels and increased back pain intensity and back pain-related disability. The findings suggest that patients with back pain in Fanwood should be screened for vitamin D insufficiency or deficiency and should take steps to improve their vitamin D status as part of the recovery process.
