Onions and Garlic May Decrease Breast Cancer Risk

In a new study, researchers found that women between the ages of 30 and 79 who ate higher amounts of alliums, such as onion and garlic, had a 67% lower risk for breast cancer than participants who seldom or never ate these foods. The research team notes that onions and garlic are high in compounds believed to combat tumor cells, which may explain the findings.
